CLOVERLAND DAIRY PRODUCTS NEW ORLEANS
Two Types
This bottle is embossed: CLOVERLAND DAIRY (in an arch) then a
figure of a four-leaf clover, PRODUCTS CO. Inc/ NEW
ORLEANS, LA (in an
upside down arch) on the front then ONE PINT LIQUID near the base. It is embossed on the back: ORDER TODAY / FOR
BREAKFAST OR LUNCH TOMORROW, a figure of a cream cheese container with a clover
embossed on it and the following also embossed within the cream cheese
container: CLOVERLAND / CREAM CHEESE, then SEALED BB48 near the base. It has a C embossed on the bottom. The neck has 4 four-leaf clover
embossed around it. It has no chips or
cracks, but does have some inside haze.
For those of you not from New
Orleans, the cream cheese the local
dairies used to sell was Creole cream cheese and is a lot different than Philadelphia cream
cheese. It had cream cheese on the
bottom with cream was on top. We eat it
with a lot of sugar in it and it is delicious!
Some of the dairies and groceries here still make it.
This one is embossed:
CLOVERLANDS / a four leaf clover / DAIRY CO. / NEW
ORLEANS, LA. It is clear, 7 “ tall 3” diameter.
It has 8 vertical ribs from shoulder to lip and the #17 under the base. It is in mint condition but for a couple of
small scratches near the base. This milk
has some small bubbles in the glass, mostly on the rear.
